VidWall-Q Help

What VidWall-Q does

VidWall-Q helps you build a tiled wall of supported video links. Add links to a local queue, choose a layout, and launch videos into separate mpv playback panes.

Basic use

  1. Paste a supported video link into the Selected / New Link box.
  2. Click Add to Queue.
  3. Choose a layout.
  4. Click Run to launch the video wall.
  5. Use Retile if windows need to be placed again.
  6. Use Close to close the video panes.

Layouts

VidWall-Q includes landscape, portrait, and mixed portrait/landscape layouts. Match aspects can help place portrait and landscape videos into compatible panes.

Queue and playlists

Links are stored in a local queue. Playlists are saved locally on your PC and are not uploaded to a VidWall-Q cloud service.

Compact controls

Compact mode provides quick controls for running, closing, retiling, pinning, and advancing panes while the video wall is active.

Supported links

VidWall-Q supports many web video links through bundled mpv and yt-dlp, including YouTube links, livestreams, direct video URLs, and compatible stream sources.

Some links may not work. VidWall-Q does not bypass DRM, subscriptions, logins, region restrictions, site rules, or browser-only players.

Troubleshooting

  1. Confirm your PC is connected to the internet.
  2. Try a different supported public video link.
  3. Open the About screen and confirm mpv and yt-dlp are found.
  4. If a link requires a browser login, DRM, or a subscription service, it may not work in VidWall-Q.
  5. Enable diagnostic logging only when troubleshooting.

Local data

VidWall-Q stores settings, playlists, and optional diagnostic logs locally under:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\VidWallQ\

Diagnostic logs

Diagnostic logs are optional and local. If enabled, logs may include video URLs and troubleshooting details. Review logs before sharing them for support.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\VidWallQ\logs\

System support

VidWall-Q v1.0 is built and tested for Windows 10/11 x64 PCs using Intel or AMD processors. ARM-based Windows PCs are not officially supported in this release.
